Validating ownership of your Facebook sources

Bottomline, you have to be a manager of a Facebook Page you’re adding.

Updated over 2 months ago

Recent Facebook API changes require you to be a manager of any Facebook page you want to display in Juicer. This is similar to the requirements for Instagram sources. Without the necessary connections and permissions, your Juicer walls won't show new Facebook posts.

‼️ Grant Juicer Facebook App access to your page, including "Read content posted on the Page" and "Read user content on your Page" permissions. You can do that from here.

How to Validate Your Facebook Sources

  1. If not done already, connect your personal Facebook account to Juicer

  2. You'll see a list of your Juicer feeds containing Facebook sources

  3. Green checkmarks indicate validated sources, while red exclamation points show sources needing action

If you're not a manager of a Facebook page you want to display, an existing manager must add you within Facebook. Any manager level (admin, editor, moderator, etc.) will suffice. They can do it at https://www.facebook.com/bookmarks/pages. In other words, if you are displaying posts in Juicer from the @YourBusiness Facebook page, you must connect a personal Facebook account to Juicer that has manager access to @YourBusiness Facebook page.

Until you have the necessary connections/permissions, your Juicer walls will not display new Facebook posts. You will also see this red exclamation symbol right on your dashboard, letting you know to fix your sources.

Troubleshooting

If you manage Facebook pages that don't appear in Juicer options:

  1. Click "View and edit" on Juicer integration

  2. Ensure all permissions are granted

Enterprise Account Considerations

👔 Only for Juicer Enterprise accounts:

  • At least one user with access to your Juicer feeds must establish the necessary Facebook connection as shown above

  • Clients can log into Juicer and connect their personal Facebook account with the required access

  • Alternatively, clients can make you an admin of their Facebook page
